Job Description

Working in the Design Verification Engineering group, our interns will get the opportunity to work on engineering aspects of medical devices that will become real products that help patients around the world. We will teach you the skills to be the best in any engineering industry, but we will only accept the very top talent looking to work hard, learn as much as they can, and be part of an organization looking to change the world of medicine. Areas interns will be exposed to: Software testing methodology, including verification planning, test case design, and defect reporting Quality and regulatory standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 14971) in the context of Class III medical devices Regression testing and continuous integration (CI) workflows, supporting frequent and reliable software testing cycles Development of automated test scripts for both feature-level and system-level testing Capturing, analyzing, and validating test data across software, firmware, and hardware components utilizing tools such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies Testing software interfaces with embedded firmware, including hardware-software communication protocols Why LivaNova is a great opportunity: You'll contribute to building a modern digital health platform Carve your own path and develop the skills you want with one-on-one mentoring from experienced engineers And most of all, build products that change lives - our neuromodulation technology improves patient outcomes and quality of life for those affected with epilepsy
Qualifications:
Working towards a degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, Biomedical Engineering or a related field. Experience in software or firmware testing or programming (C, C#, Python) Previous project experience (past internships, research, project teams, etc.) GPA of 3.6 or higherLocation:

A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $25/hr.Internship Dates:
May 18th - August 7th; internships may be extended if there is opportunity and availability.
