The Wastewater Quality and Commissioning Engineer is responsible for ensuring the successful installation, testing, and startup of wastewater systems in mission critical environments. This role focuses on performing quality walks, commissioning key infrastructure such as piping, pumps, tanks, VFDs, instruments, and lift stations, and verifying that systems meet design specifications and operational requirements. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams including construction, engineering, and operations to identify and resolve issues, support system validation, and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient system performance. This position is ideal for early-career professionals with a background in mechanical or chemical engineering or relevant hands-on experience in industrial or mission critical facilities.
Responsibilities:
Perform quality walks to verify installation and readiness of wastewater systems and equipment. Commission wastewater infrastructure including pipes, VFDs, tanks, pumps, instruments, and lift stations. Identify, document, and resolve quality and commissioning issues to ensure system performance and compliance. Coordinate with construction, engineering, and operations teams to support successful system startup and turnover. Review and validate system documentation, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness. Execute testing and validation procedures for wastewater systems and components. Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project quality guidelines. Support troubleshooting and optimization of wastewater systems during commissioning activities. Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and commissioning activities. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on quality and commissioning progress. Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
0-5 years of experience performing quality walks and commissioning wastewater systems in mission critical environments. Experience in semiconductor or mission critical industries preferred but not required.
Education / Licenses
/ Certifications Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or relevant job experience. Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable
