Pay:
$200,000.00-$240,000.00/annually The pay listed is the salaried range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or mission-critical water utility systems, preferably in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong background in UPW, PCW, wastewater treatment, industrial water chemistry, and commissioning.
  • Experience with fluid dynamics, pump systems, membrane systems, filtration technologies, and process controls.
  • Experience with BMS, SCADA, and CMMS system integration.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to travel regionally. Preferred Qualifications
  • Semiconductor fabrication facility experience.
  • Knowledge of water reclaim and sustainability initiatives.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or pursuit of licensure.
  • Familiarity with high-purity piping standards and clean construction practices.

1161 Engineering Oversight & System Reliability
  • Provide engineering and technical oversight for UPW generation and distribution systems, PCW systems, industrial wastewater treatment and reclaim systems, chemical feed systems, and water storage and pumping infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance parameters including flow, pressure, temperature, resistivity, conductivity, TOC, pH, chemical balance, redundancy, and capacity utilization. Commissioning & Capital Projects
  • Lead or support commissioning, startup, retrofit, and capital improvement projects for UPW, PCW, and wastewater systems.
  • Validate flushing, passivation, leak testing, water quality stabilization, and system alignment with design intent.
  • Review vendor submittals, P&IDs, construction documents, and contractor installations for compliance. Reliability & Maintenance Optimization
  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs for RO and membrane systems, ion exchange, polishing loops, degasification systems, pumps, heat exchangers, and wastewater treatment equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for water quality excursions, system instability, equipment failures, and compliance deviations. Documentation & Standardization
  • Develop and maintain P&IDs, utility diagrams, control narratives, SOPs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Drive standardization and best practices across sites for water utility engineering and documentation. Compliance & Environmental Stewardship
  • Ensure compliance with wastewater discharge regulations, environmental permits, SEMI standards, ASME codes, and site-specific EHS requirements.
  • Support audits, inspections, and environmental reporting requirements. Controls & Systems Integration
  • Support integration of UPW, PCW, and wastewater systems into BMS, SCADA, CMMS, and facility monitoring systems.
  • Analyze alarm trends and system data to enable proactive issue detection and mitigation.
