Luhdorff and Scalmanini, Consulting Engineers (LSCE) is a consulting firm that provides a work culture and environment that thrives on being innovative, nimble, and responsive to the needs of our clients. LSCE provides engineering, hydrogeologic, and related groundwater services to municipalities, water districts, and other public and private entities throughout California. LSCE is a recognized leader in groundwater resources investigation, planning, development, use, protection, and management. The firm was founded in 1980 and has over 50 professionals in offices located in Woodland, Roseville, Daly City, Chico, and Boise, Idaho. Our water resource engineers provide a full range of services in water resources, including planning studies, water system evaluations, design, and construction management for municipal drinking water. WATER RESOURCES SENIOR ENGINEER POSITION SUMMARY
The position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional consulting engineer with a proven track record of success to make a meaningful impact within an established and growing firm. We are seeking a motivated professional with a solid background in water resources engineering, project management, and business development who is committed to delivering practical, high-quality solutions and exceptional service to our clients. At LSCE, our engineering team works collaboratively together on a variety of water resources projects. The successful candidate will join existing project teams and assist in leading engineering projects from conception through completion. Our engineering projects provide opportunities in every phase of the project cycle, including proposal development client engagement, planning and technical studies, engineering design, permitting, construction support, and coordinating with contractors and regulatory agencies. WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES
(including but not limited to): Oversee and be in responsible charge of water resources engineering projects and business development. Seek business development opportunities including networking, grant funding opportunities, proposal writing, preparing scopes of work, project budgets, project management, and schedules. Prepare civil and mechanical designs for municipal drinking water infrastructure, agricultural water systems, and other water supply or injection systems. Prepare engineering designs, calculations and analysis of hydraulic systems for the design of well pumps, booster pumps, hydropneumatics tanks, storage reservoirs, groundwater/surface water treatment and process controls. Provide engineering services during construction, including meetings with contractors and clients, project schedule and budget management, requests for information and submittals, and conducting site visits. Project management, project development and oversight, including technical review of work by others, mentoring and providing clear direction to support staff, collaboration with other professionals, and managing scopes, budgets and schedules across multiple projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, or other related engineering degree. Professional Civil Engineering License in California. Minimum ten (10) years of professional engineering experience in water resources and consulting. Excellent interpersonal skills, work ethic, and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others. Strong technical knowledge and background in water resources and consulting. Ability to manage staff, competing priorities, and project deadlines. Proven record of business development in both competitive and non-competitive settings. Highly motivated, possesses strong critical thinking and management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in civil engineering, or another appropriate engineering degree. Knowledgeable in hydraulic modeling software. Strong background in groundwater and surface water treatment, pump design, and municipal drinking water standards. Knowledgeable of California water resources drinking water permitting, groundwater sustainability legislation, and regulations. Professional experience with a focus in California. Knowledge of grant funding process including identifying opportunities, application process and implementation.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
LSCE offers a competitive salary ($140,000 - 200,000 per year) and benefits package. Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. LSCE benefits include health, dental, life, and 401k and profit-sharing retirement plans.
