Job Description

Job Summary:
We are actively seeking an initiative-taking Water/Wastewater Engineer your area that can be a role model, client-focused, impactful, and decisive. Work on rewarding projects within a diverse culture and have access to exceptional training and career development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to conduct engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within Autodesk Civil 3D Oversee and direct data collection and analysis activities Undertake preliminary and detailed design activities Responsible for the preparation of technical memoranda, preliminary, and detailed design reports Liaison with equipment suppliers and vendors Preparation of technical specifications, special provisions, and forms of tender Review of quantity and cost estimates for completeness and accuracy Contract administration services during project construction Work as part of a team to complete assignments
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering Four years of related experience OR demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months from hire date
Preferred Qualifications:
MS Civil Engineering or related field 2 to 3 years of experience on hydraulic systems, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or similar fields Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as Civil 3D, GIS, hydraulic analysis, process modeling) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint The ability to work well in a collaborative environment Positive attitude and strong initiative to learn and excel Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with project management concepts and principles Willingness to travel remotely on occasion for construction observation and client meetings
