In the role of Water Resources Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to: Focus on projects including flood risk reduction, levees, dam and spillway rehabilitation, channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland restoration, stormwater detention and conveyance, and riverine structures. Create planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water resource focused systems under the guidance of a Project Engineer or person in responsible charge Aid in the development of construction documents, including site and feature layout using CAD-based software and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support design. Coordinate between various disciplines in the development of water resources project construction documents. Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression Master's degree in civil engineering or other related field. Professional experience or educational specialization in water resources or civil engineering related fields. Familiarity with CAD software including AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Bentley ORD. Familiarity with H&H design software including HEC-HMS/RAS, SWMM, or other channel/conduit hydraulic analysis software. Preference will be given to local candidates #LI-EV1 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field Interest or experience analyzing and designing water focused systems Experience with production, simulation, and automation such as BIM systems, numerical modeling platforms, and other production tools Microsoft Office experience Must be able to work in a team environment An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
