Job Description

Our client is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join its team in Kingston, New Hampshire, supporting a range of projects throughout the region. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse water resources initiatives, including stormwater management, watershed assessments, floodplain analysis, and hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for infrastructure and environmental projects Design stormwater management systems and drainage solutions to meet regulatory requirements Prepare technical reports, studies, and permitting documentation for local, state, and federal agencies Utilize modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and similar platforms to support design and analysis Support culvert and bridge hydraulic design, floodplain mapping, and resilience-focused projects Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to deliver projects on time and within scope Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong quality and attention to detail Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline, along with 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in water resources engineering. A Professional Engineer license is required, or the ability to obtain licensure in New Hampshire. Strong experience in hydrology and hydraulics, familiarity with GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D, and an understanding of New England permitting processes are important for success in this role.
