Our Pittsburgh office is a hub for delivering forward-thinking solutions to aging infrastructure, climate adaptation, and water quality challenges. Key Projects we've been involved with: Ohio River Tunnel - We're the design lead of this deep tunnel system, the first of three being built in Pittsburgh as part of ALCOSAN's $2B Clean Water Plan. Cohocksink Stormwater Project - A nature-based solution to urban flooding, integrating green infrastructure to manage stormwater sustainably in Philadelphia. Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District - Design lead of multiple deep tunnel systems in greater Cleveland region Pittsburgh Water - Supporting Pittsburgh Water in development and implementation of their capstone Water Reliability Program.

What You'll Do:

Lead multidisciplinary teams on water resources, water treatment, and wastewater projects from planning through construction Provide management and technical oversight on projects involving water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, stormwater systems, pipelines, and pump stations Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets Support business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposal efforts Maintain and grow client relationships to support long-term success Apply engineering principles to solve complex challenges and deliver high-quality outcomes Estimate project costs and support commercial planning

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering (Master's preferred) At least 7+ years of experience in engineering and/or project management focusing in water/wastewater design Proven experience with public or private water and wastewater utilities in the U.S. Strong background in planning, design, and delivery of water-related infrastructure PE license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain within one year); additional state licenses in Mid-Atlantic and Midwest a plus A collaborative leader who can mentor junior staff and manage multidisciplinary teams Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver projects on time and within budget Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Benefits & Reward At Mott MacDonald, our employees have a stake and a voice in our business, providing them with a direct connection to our success through our personal and group performance bonuses.
