We are looking for the best and brightest talent to join our Reno/Southwest-Central Water Resources team. An ideal candidate will be someone who can use their passion and apply it to today's challenges, while reinventing tomorrow. Our water resources team serves the top clients in the Reno metropolitan area and along the Sierras. As a valued Jacobs employee, you will work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful projects. You'll have the opportunity to work on water and wastewater design projects, and many other water-related projects. Our projects include all phases, including planning studies and master plans, modeling, alternatives evaluations, preliminary and final design, decision modeling and optimization, cost analysis, permitting, land acquisition, services during construction, and more. This opening also seeks someone interested or with a background in construction management engineering. Some additional tasks related to construction management would include the following: Draft construction work orders Review of construction plans for quantity takeoffs, Field investigation in support of construction project development, Construction plan development Coordinate with City agencies, contractors, and third parties in the preparation of construction assignments, Support the construction team to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved specifications and client quality standards, Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes, and Every member of our team supports business development efforts and helps in the pursuit of new projects. While hybrid working is commonplace at Jacobs, our Reno Water Resources team is looking for candidates local to the Northern Nevada area. Here's what you'll need Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited University program. Interest in and understanding of water and construction related projects. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate your ideas clearly and concisely. Self-motivated, self-teaching, initiator. Engineer In Training (EIT) Certification, or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire. This position requires in-person activities which will require the successful candidate to live within a commutable distance from our Reno, Nevada Office. It is required you live locally within the metropolitan Reno area or plan to relocate yourself. This position does not provide relocation.
