Water/Wastewater Engineer

Overview We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join a growing, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm. This individual will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of critical infrastructure projects that support sustainable communities. This opportunity offers strong mentorship, leadership visibility, and a clear path to advancement, including project management and potential partnership track for experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support water and wastewater infrastructure projects (treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, distribution/collection systems)
  • Perform engineering calculations, modeling, and system analysis
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and technical reports
  • Coordinate with internal teams across civil, environmental, and other disciplines
  • Support or lead project management efforts including budgets and schedules (level dependent)
  • Interface with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
  • Assist with permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Contribute to proposal development and business development efforts Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • EIT or PE license (or ability to obtain)
  • 2-10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
  • Experience with treatment design, hydraulic modeling, or utility infrastructure preferred
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or modeling software (e.g., WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWorks)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
