We are a site based school program serving over 400 students under the authorization of Dixon Unified School District. Executive Director Duties and Responsibilities:

(This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge, or abilities associated with this position, but is intended to accurately reflect the primary job elements.) Assist teachers and administrators in employing appropriate research-based strategies to ensure students achieve literacy. This may include assistance in developing and using ELL/Intervention literacy strategies, curriculum products, implementation plans and assessment tools. Exhibit theoretical and research-based knowledge of language acquisition and child development. Works cooperatively with regular classroom teachers, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students and assisting in classroom intervention strategies; which may include frequent progress monitoring and assisting with universal benchmark testing. Communicates regularly with parents and professional staff regarding the educational, social, and personal needs of students. Assists the student in making an assessment of his/her abilities and in establishing educational and vocational occupational goals in keeping with these abilities. Research, teach, and model best practices used to address the needs of those students who struggle with reading and writing. Participates as a member of the Response to Intervention Team. Completes necessary reports, testing (ELPAC) and record keeping as required by state and local policies and procedures. Participates in professional growth activities through staff development, in service, workshops, and higher education. Disaggregate and analyze data to target instruction, enhance student learning, and inform teacher practice. Assist in monitoring the district's effectiveness and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements related to ELL programs. Required Experience and Education:

Valid California Education Teaching Certificate ELL Certificated and/ or BCLAD Verifiable teaching experience
