This role focuses on developing students' reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills in a supportive and engaging learning environment. About Our School Concord Academy of Petoskey is a public charter school serving students in grades Pre-K-12 in Petoskey, Michigan. The school emphasizes a well-rounded educational experience that integrates creativity, project-based learning, and a STEAM-focused approach , while fostering a strong sense of community and individualized instruction. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction for middle and high school students Teach reading comprehension, writing, grammar, literature, and critical analysis Incorporate diverse texts and foster a love of reading and writing Utilize project-based and interdisciplinary approaches aligned with the school's philosophy Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Assess student progress and provide timely feedback Collaborate with colleagues to support student success Communicate effectively with students and families Qualifications Bachelors degree in English or related field Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (English/Language Arts endorsement ) Strong classroom management and instructional skills Passion for literature, writing, and critical thinking Excellent communication and collaboration skills
