Seasonal Position
POSITION SUMMARY
The Outside Services Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service to golfers while supporting the daily outside operations of the golf course. This role ensures a smooth flow of play by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of golf carts, bag drop areas, and practice facilities. The attendant plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for all guests.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greet guests upon arrival and assist with unloading and loading golf bags. Provide accurate directions and information regarding the golf course, facilities, and daily operations. Prepare, stage, and maintain golf carts, ensuring they are clean, fully stocked, and in proper working condition. Monitor and manage the cart return area, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing carts for reuse. Maintain cleanliness and organization of bag drop areas, cart staging areas, and surrounding grounds. Assist with tournament and event operations, including staging carts, signage, and related setup. Support pace of play by assisting guests and communicating with golf operations staff as needed. Provide general operational support to the golf course team to ensure efficient daily operations.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Attends training sessions, meetings, and workshops as required. Ensures a safe work environment and reports all incidents accurately and promptly. Assists other departments or team members as needed to support overall operations. Maintains compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.CONTACTS
Immediate peers, supervisors, golf course staff, guests, and outside vendors as required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position medium with lifting up to 50 pounds maximum and frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds. Physical activities include constant standing, walking, pushing/pulling, and use of vision and hearing; frequent lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, and manual handling; and occasional sitting, kneeling, and climbing. Working conditions include constant outdoor exposure to weather, temperature changes, and noise; frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions and varying terrain. Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.Experience:
Previous customer service experience preferred; golf course or hospitality experience is a plus.Certification/Licenses:
Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual license review and insurability standards.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong customer service and communication skills required. Must demonstrate a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment with varying weather conditions. Basic knowledge of golf is preferred but not required. Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
