Entry level gate guard

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Guard to join our security team. This is an entry level position with a locally owned and operated company. There is room for you to grow in this company. You do not have to have security experience to apply. You will have to obtain a level 2 Texas private security license and a TWIC . If you choose to take the position we will direct you on how to obtain both credentials. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, personnel, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. As a Guard, you will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect unauthorized activities. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a visible presence to promote safety. Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior and reporting findings to management. Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations; maintain certification as required. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective incident resolution. Document all incidents accurately in reports for future reference. Requirements Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally. Certification in First Aid and CPR is not required; additional certifications related to security are a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Strong observational skills with attention to detail; capable of identifying potential threats or irregularities.
