Entry Level Sign Installation & Service Tech: Level 1

Highpoint Signs & Apparel is a growing company in a fast environment that provides promotional products and services to local, regional, and national clients. The Helper/ Tech 1 position is an entry level position that has many responsibilities and is considered a support role for the Tech 2 & Tech 3 positions but should also be able to work independently. Some of the expectations of this position are to complete surveys, service existing signage and install new signage under direct supervision. This includes having and learning basic knowledge of low voltage and primary circuits and an understanding of installations and electrical procedures. As a Tech 1/Helper you will work directly with sales representatives, customers, and fellow installation/service technicians. It is incredibly important that this position is occupied with someone who is driven and motivated to perform at a high level and provide results by supporting others around them.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Adopt company values and help establish a healthy culture
• Working at heights in excess of 85'
• Driving Non-CDL crane and bucket trucks
• Operation of Light & Heavy machinery (Auger, Fork lift, Skid Steer, Ect.)
• Completing site surveys of buildings and properties of potential and existing customers
• Transporting signs & materials to and from work sites. This includes driving company trucks with trailers.
• Service and installation of LED, florescent, and neon signs in accordance with UL48 and the NEC
• Ensuring the effective measurement, placement, connection, and installation of all signage
• Preparing the site for installation by removing old signage, preparing the surface or structure for new signage, and securing the electrical connections
• Maintaining a clean truck and worksite and clearing debris and materials from company vehicles and trailers after each installation
• Working with other field technicians to complete jobs and tasks in a constructive, professional manner.
• Maintaining all necessary communication with the Project Management Team, Sales Representatives and Customers in a professional manner. This includes properly taking completion photos, measurements, and uploading them accordingly.
• Properly completing all required paperwork as it pertains to logs, vehicle inspections, and work orders daily.
• Obtaining and maintaining all required licenses in a timely manner as set forth by the company.
