Service Manager or Lead Technician Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Automotive Technician to join our service team. This position is ideal for someone beginning a career in automotive repair and maintenance. The technician will assist with inspections, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and basic repairs while learning from experienced technicians. Key Responsibilities Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including: Oil changes Tire rotations Brake inspections Fluid checks and replacements Battery testing and replacement Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify basic vehicle problems Assist senior technicians with repairs and installations Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Automotive training or vocational coursework is a plus Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures Willingness to learn and develop technical skills Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment safely Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods Lift up to 50 pounds Work in a fast-paced shop environment Bend, kneel, and work under vehicles when necessary Preferred Skills ASE certification (or willingness to obtain) Familiarity with diagnostic scanners and repair software Team-oriented attitude Good communication skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Health insurance and retirement benefits (if applicable) Employee discounts on services and parts Paid time off
