Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and proactive EHS Manager to join our team in Greensburg, IN. As the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace for all employees. Your expertise will help us foster a culture of safety while adhering to all regulatory requirements. If you are passionate about promoting environmental stewardship and workplace safety, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead training programs for employees on EHS practices, emergency response, and safety protocols. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the facility. Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage all EHS-related documentation and reporting. Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough documentation and implementation of preventive measures. Prepare for, attend, and implement corrective actions on internal and external audits.
Internal:
management audits, environmental inspections, and weekly plant walk throughs.External:
HCC audits, ISO 14001/45001 audits, IOSHA/IDEM inspections, Cornerstone assessments, etc. Stay current with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA guidelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels. Proven ability to conduct training sessions and present information effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or OSHA Outreach Instructor are a plus.You should be proficient in:
