Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to champion safety initiatives and ensure compliance across our manufacturing operations. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that foster a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace environment. Your expertise will help prevent workplace incidents, promote occupational health, and uphold environmental standards through rigorous training, diligent report writing, and root cause analysis. Join us to make a tangible impact on worker safety and environmental stewardship while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and workers' compensation law requirements. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence. Deliver engaging training sessions on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, occupational health practices, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspection reports, training logs, and compliance documentation. Coordinate emergency response procedures including first aid protocols and safety drills to ensure preparedness. Collaborate with management to develop continuous improvement strategies that enhance safety culture across manufacturing sites. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and EPA regulations. Certification in first aid, CPR, and OSHA safety training preferred. Knowledge of workers' compensation law and reporting requirements. Strong report writing skills with the ability to document investigations clearly and thoroughly. Experience conducting root cause analysis to identify systemic issues affecting occupational health or safety incidents. Excellent communication skills to deliver effective training & development programs on EHS topics. Ability to perform detailed safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits reliably.
