ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY AND STRATEGY LEAD
- ICF is seeking an experienced
- Environmental Policy and Strategy Lead
- to support a Department of War (DOW) contract and team based in Huntsville, Alabama.
- SECRET Clearance Required
- This position is based in Huntsville, Alabama with travel required for specific project work throughout the United States and abroad (generally less than 25%).
- Responsibilities
- The Environmental Policy and Strategy Lead will support and execute air emissions modeling and permitting; environmental policies, studies and analysis, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); and environmental compliance audits of related to DOW system testing, and facilities planning, design, construction, operation, and sustainment.
Specific responsibilities include:
+ Serving as a subject matter and regulatory expert on complex technical and programmatic issues related to environmental planning, management, and compliance initiatives. + Conducting air emission calculations and preparing permit applications for the use of generators and boilers in the United States and its territories. + Developing strategies related to environmental planning, management, and compliance. + Supporting multiple concurrent high priority environmental projects. + Identifying problems, developing sound solutions, and presenting recommendations to the team for approval and implementation. + Interacting directly with client on a daily basis.- Minimum Qualifications
- + Master's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related engineering/science field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen per federal contract requirements.
- + •Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance (may allow for the ability to obtain one).
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Prior military or Federal consulting experience is preferred. + Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and/or other relevant environmental professional credentials such as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Professional Geologist (PG); or Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) are preferred.
