A large part of the position will be on job sites around New Jersey and
NYC. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) regulations and guidance. Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Perform and manage technical tasks such as fieldwork, including sampling, operations and maintenance of remedial systems. Well installation, soil boring, drilling and construction oversight. Compile and evaluate data and assist in report preparation. Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments. Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities. Report writing on environmental projects in the public and private sector. Participate in functions involving contact with client representatives. Work/coordinate/communicate with project team personnel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science is required. Direct experience in essential duties listed above, including demonstrated ability in technical writing. Direct experience in preparing documents such as Phase I and II ESAs, PAs, SIRs, RIRs, RAWs, RARs, and SPCCs is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; knowledge of computer-based CADD a plus. OSHA 40-hour
HAZWOPER
training and current 8-hour refresher training are strongly preferred. Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are a must, as well as the ability to thrive in a professional and team-oriented work environment. Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently. Candidate must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
