Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Environmental Services Housekeeper/Laundry Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess experience in custodial services, with a focus on hospital or healthcare settings, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents by maintaining a pristine environment. Duties Perform cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Follow established protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and infection control guidelines. Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing to ensure surfaces are safe and visually appealing. Restock supplies such as paper products, cleaning agents, and other materials necessary for daily operations. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a secure environment for residents and staff. Adhere to all environmental services policies and procedures to uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Assist in training new staff members on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols as needed. Collect, sort, wash, dry and distribute laundry. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within healthcare or hospital environments. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and health standards. Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and floor care procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly. Prior experience in environmental services or healthcare housekeeping is highly desirable; familiarity with commercial cleaning practices is a plus.
