Responsibilities Community Health System is the region's largest health system, providing high-quality, patient-centered care across a broad network of hospitals and care settings. Our Environmental Services team plays a critical role in supporting safe, efficient operations by maintaining clean and welcoming environments throughout our facilities for patients, visitors and staff. As an Environmental Services Technician 1, you support patient care, safety and experience through essential environmental services work that directly impacts clinical outcomes. You will support infection prevention and patient flow by preparing rooms for admissions and discharges using established procedures and safety guidelines. The position is entry level, with training provided, and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to patient care while working independently or as part of a team. Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas following established infection prevention protocols. Qualifications Education
- High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate upon hire or transfer into position required or
- General Education Development (GED) obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer into position required. Failure to obtain the GED within 1 year will result in termination of employment. Experience
- 3 months of experience working in a customer service environment required
- Environmental services experience in a hospital environment preferred
