Equipment Operator Summary:

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy machinery and material handling equipment to support warehouse or production operations. This Equipment Operator role ensures equipment is used efficiently, maintained properly, and operated in compliance with all safety standards.

Equipment Operator Responsibilities:

The Equipment Operator will operate material handling equipment such as pallet jack, reach truck, hi-lo, and sit-down forklift. Load, unload, move, and stack materials in warehouses, distribution centers, or production areas. Conduct daily safety inspections and routine maintenance checks on all equipment before and after use. Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries. Read and interpret work orders, load tags, and shipping/receiving documents accurately. Assist with inventory control by accurately scanning, labeling, and documenting materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisors. The Equipment Operator will monitor equipment performance, report mechanical issues promptly, and collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operations. A successful Equipment Operator must prioritize safety, efficiency, and teamwork at all times.

Equipment Operator Requirements:

Experience:

Previous experience as an Equipment Operator .

Equipment Skills:

Experience operating pallet jack, reach truck, hi-lo, and sit-down forklift.

Certification:

Valid forklift or equipment operator certification (if required) and ability to meet company safety standards.

Communication:

Strong verbal communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and team members.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Software Proficiency:

Basic familiarity with MS Office Suite or warehouse inventory systems may be required.
