JOB ATTENTION ALL ALASKA RESIDENTS
!The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation Denali District is looking for a non-permanent on-call Equipment Operator Journey 2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

What you will be doing: Perform snow and ice removal using plow/sanders and graders with all attachmentsLearn and understand techniques, routes, and potential obstructions for effective operationApply abrasives (e.g., sand) as traction aidsMake situational decisions on where and how much abrasive to apply based on conditionsOperate graders, loaders, snow blowers, and dozers for all aspects of snow haul operationsLearn techniques for pulling snow and recognizing obstructionsLoad trucks efficiently and safelyMaintain accountability for contractor trucksAssist with snow dump maintenance to support overall operational successOur organization, mission, and culture: Our mission is to maintain safe, reliable infrastructure while prioritizing the well-being of our community and team. The working environment you can expect: This is a non-permanent on-call position located in Cantwell, Alaska, within the Denali District.
