Job Description

Millions of people in the U.S. lack access to medical care. Remote Area Medical sets up free clinics around the country to provide dental, vision, and medical care, so people can get the help they need. As an Equipment Delivery Driver on our team, you will be able to leverage your experience as a CDL-A driver to get medical equipment to pop-up clinics across the nation for a weekend, free clinic in diverse communities. You will be an integral part of our team that is responsible for enabling our teams to offer competent and compassionate healthcare to underserved communities. Job Responsibilities Build and maintain healthy strategic relationships with supervisors, personnel, volunteers and partners that would benefit department and organizational objectives and advance our mission. Determine and log routes that ensure equipment and supplies arrive at clinics in a timely manner. Excel in mechanical familiarity and maintenance of RAM clinic equipment and units. Assist in training others in related field as directed. Oversee, manage and maintain clinic equipment, which includes pre-clinic site inspection, unloading, assimilation, maintenance and loading during clinic events and any follow up post clinic events. Follow all company- and state-enforced rules, regulations, and safety requirements while enroute and while loading or unloading equipment and supplies. Recommend and provide advice on clinic operation opportunities, processes, and methods to improve relations and function of RAM clinics in related fields. Ensure vehicles are mechanically sound and ready for operation when needed; perform light vehicle maintenance as needed; ensure vehicle maintenance records are complete and turned into the Transportation Coordinator. Be familiar with clinic concepts, practices, equipment, transportation units and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals performing a variety of tasks as directed by the Transportation Coordinator. Perform a variety of tasks and duties as directed by your Management Team. Job Requirements Must maintain a valid CDL-A and be willing to drive RAM vehicles. Must be proficient in verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills. Must be able to obtain a DOT medical. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be willing to travel multiple overnights. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift weight up to 50lbs. RAM's current benefits plan covers 100% of the cost for insurance premiums for employees, their spouses, and their dependents.
