In this position, you will work outdoors in diverse environments, assisting with the installation and maintenance of erosion control measures. Your efforts will help ensure environmental compliance, promote sustainable land use, and support construction projects from start to finish. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in landscape maintenance, construction, and environmental stewardship while working alongside a dedicated team. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of erosion control products such as silt fences, sediment basins, mulch blankets, and erosion mats using hand tools and power tools. Operate equipment including hydroseeders, straw blowers. and other machinery to prepare sites for erosion control measures. Maintain and repair existing erosion control structures to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools, machinery, and materials in outdoor environments. Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment safely and effectively. Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices. Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and wheelbarrows. Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor throughout the day. A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills to collaborate efficiently with crew members on diverse projects.
