The Escrow Officer will manage residential and/or commercial real estate transactions from opening through closing while ensuring compliance with state regulations, lender requirements, and company procedures. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, knowledge of Michigan real estate closing practices, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders. Key Responsibilities Open, process, and close escrow transactions in compliance with company and state guidelines Review purchase agreements, title commitments, lender instructions, and closing documents Coordinate with real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, buyers, and sellers throughout the transaction process Prepare settlement statements and closing documents Schedule closings for residential and/or commercial transactions Balance escrow files and disburse funds accurately and timely Ensure all files meet underwriting and compliance requirements Resolve title or closing issues efficiently and professionally Qualifications Minimum 4+ years of escrow or title insurance experience preferred Knowledge of Michigan real estate closing procedures and title insurance practices Experience with title software systems such as Settlor, or similar platforms preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills Customer-focused mindset with professional demeanor Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) retirement plan
