About the Firm Nugen Law is more than a traditional estate planning and elder law firm. We take a Life Care Planning approach, which means we look beyond documents to help individuals and families plan proactively, navigate care needs, and protect what matters most throughout every stage of life. Our work is highly collaborative. Attorneys, paralegals, and support staff work closely together to provide thoughtful, compassionate guidance. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys in estate planning, elder law (Medicaid), probate, and guardianship matters. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong technical skills along with the ability to help coordinate day to day work and support the overall flow of matters within the firm. The Paralegal works closely with attorneys and team members throughout the process. The Paralegal will also work directly with clients and serve as a steady, knowledgeable point of contact throughout their matter. Key Responsibilities Draft and prepare estate planning, probate, and guardianship documents, including the use of WealthCounsel or similar drafting platforms, and to prepare matters for Medicaid application. Assist attorneys throughout the client process, through document execution and follow up Help coordinate workflows, timelines, and completion of projects across matters Support attorneys by helping ensure cases remain organized and progress efficiently Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation Communicate with clients in a professional, compassionate, and timely manner Track deadlines and assist with filings and administrative submissions as needed Review documents for accuracy and completeness Contribute to efficient case flow and consistent internal processes Qualifications Three or more years of paralegal experience required, with strong exposure to estate planning and probate Familiarity with WealthCounsel or similar drafting software, or the ability to quickly adapt to new systems Strong drafting and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple matters while working collaboratively with a team Comfortable working with clients during sensitive or emotional situations Proficiency with legal technology and document management systems - CLIO preferred but not required Elder Law/Medicaid application experience is preferred What We Are Looking For A seasoned paralegal who values teamwork and consistency Someone who takes ownership of their work and follows through A dependable team player who enjoys collaboration A calm, steady presence for both clients and colleagues An interest in building a long term role within a firm that values growth, stability, and strong relationships Firm Culture We are a close knit, team oriented firm that values collaboration, communication, and mutual support.
