About Grafika Grafika is a multi-dimensional printing and packaging company committed to delivering exceptional paperboard packaging and pressure-sensitive labels that help our customers grow their business. We combine advanced technology, quality craftsmanship, and a customer-focused approach to provide reliable, innovative solutions tailored to each project's needs. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Estimator to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting sales and operations by delivering accurate, competitive cost estimates that drive informed pricing and production decisions. Position Overview The Estimator prepares cost estimates for production processes to support management and sales in bidding and pricing decisions. This role is responsible for evaluating materials, labor, equipment, and outside services to create accurate quotations with appropriate margins for customers and prospects. Key Responsibilities Analyze requests for quote (RFQs), specifications, and supporting documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, material, and labor estimates Identify and obtain missing information needed to quote accurately Prepare estimates based on company capabilities, production efficiency, equipment standards, and collaboration with production personnel using the ERP system Request and evaluate outside vendor pricing (e.g., stock, dies, outside finishing) as needed Review material and labor requirements to determine make-versus-buy decisions Confirm margins based on established standards, customer-specific requirements, or consultation with leadership Create quote letters within the ERP system and submit to customers or sales representatives Attach supporting documentation to estimates in the ERP system (vendor quotes, artwork, specifications, etc.) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of estimating standards, procedures, and ERP changes Participate in or initiate project planning meetings to determine optimal quoting strategies Revise estimates as requested Provide cost-to-date or actual-versus-estimate (AA) cost information to Client Services as needed Perform cost analysis comparing estimates to actual performance to improve future quoting accuracy Provide feedback to the Estimating Manager regarding new vendors, outsourcing opportunities, and production input Analyze outsourcing pricing and its impact on production and scheduling Qualifications Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong service orientation and team-focused mindset Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while accepting direction as needed Strong listening and comprehension skills Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) Print production and processing knowledge preferred, including materials, workflows, quality control, and cost drivers Education and/or
Experience:
