Job Description

Job Title:
Estimator Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking an experienced Estimator Project Manager with a strong background in civil construction estimation and project management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for seeking and completing bid opportunities, estimating projects, managing bid pricing, and coordinating pre-construction meetings. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate and coordinate between project managers, field, and office support teams to ensure successful project execution. Responsibilities + Seek out and complete bid opportunities through client relationships, networking opportunities, public/private postings, assigned bid opportunities, and other means. + Estimate projects for bid submittal by reviewing plans and specifications, calculating quantities, performing takeoffs, gathering subcontractor quotes and submittals, constructing the bid package, and creating the bid submittal. + Manage bid pricing from all vendors. + Qualify all subcontractor and supplier quotes ensuring that the quantities and pricing are accurate per the bid documents. + Coordinate pre-construction meetings for awarded projects to ensure communication and coordination between project managers, field, and office support. + Identify, quantify, and communicate potential production and cost uncertainties to ensure all risks are understood and addressed. + Perform accurate and consistent take-offs from project drawings. + Develop and maintain lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. + Estimate and manage multiple projects. + Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, subcontractor management, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, and project closeout. + Obtain necessary permits and licensing. + Handle financial budgeting, ongoing processing, tracking, and reporting. + Manage costs by tracking labor, equipment, and materials. + Coordinate billing with the Accountant to ensure accuracy of invoicing, preparation of payables, accounts receivable collections, approval of accounts payable, and management of over/under billing monthly. + Use appropriate resources to troubleshoot any project issues. + Seek approval for all project change orders before work begins and manage changes to maintain profitability. Essential Skills + College degree or related field + 5+ years of experience in civil construction estimation + Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Experience in estimating software, BDw preferred Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with estimation, construction, project management, construction management, budgeting, and estimating software + Knowledge of civil construction, RFIs, submittal drawings, construction estimating, commercial construction, blueprints, pricing, preconstruction, and quoting Work Environment This role is primarily office-based, with occasional site visits. The work environment is steady and supportive, stemming from a family-owned business with over 60 years of history. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr. full scale benefits, bonus options Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Wilmington,DE.
