July 13, 2026 - August 13, 2026 Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with a school district in Rockland, MA to hire a Wilson Certified Teacher for their summer program. This is a great opportunity to support students in developing critical literacy skills in a focused, small-group setting.

5-week summer program

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Flexibility available for extended hours or an adjusted schedule (e.g., fewer, longer days)

Student Population:

Grades 2-8 (final caseload TBD)

Compensation:

Up to $55/hour, based on experience and licensure

Requirements:

Active DESE Special Education Mild/Moderate Licensure Wilson Reading System Certification (required)

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Wilson-based structured literacy instruction with fidelity to the program Provide targeted reading interventions in small-group or individualized settings Support development of decoding, encoding, fluency, and comprehension skills Conduct progress monitoring and maintain accurate instructional data Collaborate with special education staff and program team Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs This role is ideal for an experienced educator passionate about structured literacy and making a meaningful impact on student growth.

The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred State Teacher Certification;
