Job Description

EV Service Technician at EV Auto About the Role We're looking for a real automotive technician! Someone who actually knows their way around a car, has the experience to prove it, and is ready to do something different. If you're tired of the typical dealership grind, the corporate nonsense, and the revolving door of managers who've never turned a wrench ... keep reading. At EV Auto, we work on Teslas, Rivians, and other EVs. It's a different world than what you're used to, and honestly, it's more fun. No oil changes. No exhaust work. Just batteries, motors, software, and the future of automotive. If you already know EVs, amazing. If you don't but you're confident you can figure it out because you've figured out everything else, then we want to talk to you. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair electric vehicles (Teslas, Rivians, and more) Perform maintenance, inspections, and service work Troubleshoot electrical systems, battery issues, and drivetrain components Use diagnostic tools and software to identify problems Communicate clearly with the service team about what's wrong and what it takes to fix it Keep learning; EV's evolve fast, and we'll help you stay ahead Maintain a clean, organized workspace (we're not running a chaos shop) What We're Looking For Hands-on experience as an automotive technician; you've done the work, not just read about it Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to figure things out when the answer isn't obvious Comfortable with electrical systems (if high-voltage EVs don't scare you, even better) EV experience is a big plus, but not required if you've got the foundation and the drive to learn Someone who takes pride in their work and doesn't cut corners Reliable ... like actually reliable. You show up on time, you follow through, you don't disappear Stable work history. We're not looking for someone who bounces every 6 months No drama. Seriously. Life happens, but if chaos follows you everywhere, this isn't the fit Easy to work with, fun to be around, and ready to be part of a team that enjoys coming to work and working with each other What You'll Get A shop that doesn't feel like every other dealership. A team that works hard but actually likes each other. The chance to specialize in EVs while everyone else is still figuring out what's coming. And honestly? It's just cooler to work on the future than to keep changing oil on 10-year-old Altimas. If you're good at what you do, you stick around when you find a good thing, and you're ready for something different ... let's talk!
