Atlas Dog Training is a leading boarding and training company in Western MA specializing in providing top-quality training services to dogs of all breeds and ages. We are devoted to helping owners understand and communicate with their dogs effectively. We are seeking a kennel attendant to assist in care for the dogs during their evening rotation. This includes feeding, administering medication, supervising during playgroups, etc.

Note:

This is a training kennel and not a typical boarding facility or dog daycare. We do take dogs with behavioral problems including anxiety or aggression, therefore socialization and kennel care is performed more carefully. Kennel Attendant must be able to recognize dog body language and learn appropriate safety techniques, as well as be willing to correct dogs for displaying aggressive behavior.

Responsibilities:

• Feed and water dogs
• Let dogs out into the run and supervise group socialization
• Kennel cleaning

Qualifications:

• Responsible and self-motivated
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
• Reliable transportation/attendance
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
• No experience required, must come with an open mind and ready to learn!
• Evening shift availability required
• roughly 9PM-10:30PM
• Weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

More shifts are available if desired

Compensation:

• $30/hr
• 1-2 hr shift
