Job Description

Position Summary:
The Events & Activities Coordinator is directly responsible for assisting the Sales and Events Manager with executing goals associated overall sales, marketing, and public relations for Splash Indoor Waterpark. Department goals are focused on efforts to maximize revenue goals and profitability expectations for the overall operation. Must solicit, develop, and maintain business in assigned segments, ensure excellent relationships are maintained with existing and potential accounts, with the primary goal of building and increasing Waterpark business with a focus on groups. Responsible for the success of sales-driven programs through the direction and daily monitoring and supervision of staff. Pay Range $16

Essential Position Responsibilities:
Sales Assist in the coordination of group business booked with school, corporate & church groups, social parties, non-profit organizations, youth groups, and VIP corporate programs, as directed by the GM, Sales and Events Manager, and Director of Corporate Sales. Reach out to group contacts for follow-up on event specifics including payment and evaluations. Receive contacts through email and phone calls to book party business. Serve as an assistant to Sales and Events Managers' needs in the organization and execution of events. Maintain regular contact with in-house groups before, during and after group events. Provide support to entire sales team in the coordination of events inside Splash Indoor Waterpark and throughout the waterpark resort. Essential Areas of Responsibility•
Marketing:
Work with management to develop and implement a public relations campaign designed around initial awareness then long term brand development. Work with management and other team members on long term social media awareness and presence and develop and implement targeted, effective social media initiatives, monitoring, and updating on a regular basis. Create ideas and outlines for collateral, flyers, and marketing brochures as needed for in-house projects and assign to the Marketing Assistant for creation, providing proofing and overall facilitation of collateral pieces. Coordinate development and distribution of all sales and marketing collateral materials with prior approval of the next level of authority. Supervise the implementation of marketing programs through media placement, print advertising, direct mail, e-marketing, trade shows, print collateral, website, etc. Ensure the placement, monitoring, and updating of all web site listings related to the Waterpark activities occurs, including the web site. Ensure that all marketing deadlines for production, distribution and renewal are met and that the tracking of results and ROI are maintained. Direct the development and completion of the annual Sales & Marketing Plan. Essential Areas of Responsibility•
Administration:
Maintain current, complete resort customer files per standards and guidelines, and ensure that all are traced appropriately. Document all sales calls and other sales activities in weekly call reports. Complete all forms and reports (Calls Reports, Lost Business, Contracts, etc.) following company procedures. Attend meetings, events, and programs on behalf of the management as needed. Maintain Group bookings per established guidelines. Attend weekly staff meeting to advise department heads of all groups' needs arriving at Waterpark for that period. Adhere to all sales procedures / policies as outlines in the ARM Standards and Guidelines Manual. Assist in the training and development of all sales and marketing support personnel. Conduct performance appraisals on all sales department personnel, providing developmental action plans, as needed. Any other duties or responsibilities, as assigned by the Sales and Events Manager.
Position Specific Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
2 years' experience in a Sales role Amusement Industry, Hospitality, and/or direct sales experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Computer literacy and ability to use required software programs
