As the Events Coordinator, you would be an extension of our team, supporting the Community Engagement Manager in the planning and implementing of community events. As an ideal candidate, you are organized and motivated, ready to support the creation of unforgettable events. If you have a passion for our community and its people, we want to hear from you. Duties & Responsibilities Assist Community Engagement Manager with management of all community events from initial planning to execution. Assist the Community Engagement Manager in planning, coordinating, and managing the annual budget for community events. Oversee and manage all on-site event volunteers. Serve as a liaison with vendors on event-related matters. Assist in marketing campaigns for the events. Pull necessary permits/applications for events. Create and maintain event schedules for vendors, sponsors, and volunteers. Collaborate with teen advocacy group on monthly events. Collaborate with local businesses/organizations on various events. Assess an event's overall success and submit findings. Perform other necessary duties as they are assigned. Desired skills and qualifications High School Degree or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in community or special events, or related fields is required. Associate degree or equivalent preferred. Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain a driver's license or access to a licensed driver by employment start date. Knowledge of event marketing best practices. Strong people skills with vendor management skills preferred. Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities. Graphic design skills are a plus! Flexible schedule - ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary.Benefits & Perks:
