EVS - Housekeeper - On Call

Job description: This is an ON-CALL, second shift position. Shifts may be requested of you same day by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper, as labor needs will vary, day-to-day. While a full-time schedule is not guaranteed at first, on-call positions will lead to full-time roles as they open, based on seniority.

Housekeeping Aide Job Description:

Our goal is to provide a superior level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment. •Must have a valid driver license. Must be able to clear a background check to work on a federal base as a contracted employee.

Duties:

Reports to the Executive Housekeeper, or Quality Control Mgr or Lead Housekeeper, as needed Performs daily cleaning procedures in accordance with training videos in assigned areas. Cleans and disinfects clinical and non-clinical areas within the facility, to include (but not limited to) throwing out trash, spot mopping, wiping down surfaces with approved disinfectants, replenishing paper and soap products. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services. Records work completed on Area Assignment Checklist.

Essential Functions:

Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift. Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100 lb.) continuously throughout a shift. Able to lift 0 - 40 lb. frequently. Must be able to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e., bleach, wax, Virex, etc.). Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and even other hours as needed per assigned area.
