Job Description

Patient Admission Coordinator (Onsite
  • Anchorage, AK) Contract-to-Hire | $20
  • 22/hr | Multiple Shifts Available About the Organization This organization is a large, mission-driven healthcare provider focused on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care across communities.

Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Admission Coordinator to support patient registration and intake within a hospital setting. This is a highly visible, patient-facing role where you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients and their families. Key Responsibilities + Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service during the registration process + Verify patient identity and collect accurate demographic and insurance information + Set up and maintain patient accounts to ensure billing readiness + Issue patient armbands and assist with bedside registration when needed + Educate patients on financial responsibilities, benefits, and available resources + Obtain required consents, documentation, and regulatory forms + Manage work queues, process orders, and maintain accurate documentation + Safely secure and document patient valuables when applicable + Escort or direct patients throughout the facility as needed + Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient flow Qualifications + Strong customer service and communication skills with a patient-first mindset + Experience in patient access, registration, or healthcare customer service preferred + Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (Epic experience highly preferred) + High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment + Team-oriented and collaborative approach + Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and compassionate care +
Preferred:
+ Associate Degree in Healthcare, Business, or related field + 3+ years of patient access or healthcare business office experience + 1+ year experience using Epic systems Work Environment & Schedule + Onsite hospital setting in Anchorage, AK + Two openings available: +
Full-time:
Overnight shifts (8:00 PM
  • 4:30 AM or 10:00 PM
