Job Description

Job Title:
Excavation Foreman Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Excavation Foreman to lead field operations and manage excavation projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of excavation and site work, and the ability to run projects end-to-end while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role involves coordinating crews, operating equipment when necessary, and ensuring projects such as utility installations, grading, and demolition are completed on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee excavation projects from mobilization through completion Supervise and lead field crews, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently Ability to travel and run jobsites that are not local to Cheyenne Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, grades, and utility drawings Perform and oversee utility installation including water, sewer, and storm systems Direct and perform grading and site preparation to required specifications Manage demolition operations while maintaining site safety and environmental compliance Ensure all safety policies, OSHA standards, and company procedures are followed Conduct daily safety meetings and hazard assessments Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients Monitor job progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain productivity Maintain accurate job documentation including daily reports and field notes Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance, and care on job sites
Pay:
$29.27 - $45.00 per hour
