Job Description

. Executive Chef The Bread Chic + Rise & Vine | Fort Collins, CO Mission of the Role To lead and organize all back-of-house production across The Bread Chic (BC1 & BC2) and Rise & Vine , ensuring consistent quality, efficient systems, and a strong, accountable team. This role is responsible for turning a fast-growing operation into a structured, scalable production system across multiple concepts . Core ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership Oversee all production at BC1, BC2, and support production for Rise & Vine Ensure daily execution for retail, wholesale, farmers markets, and café service Manage production schedules and labor efficiency across all locations Quality & Consistency Maintain high standards across: Sourdough bread Croissants & laminated dough Pastries, cakes, pies, and savory items Café and wine bar food program at Rise & Vine Ensure consistency across all teams and locations Team Leadership Lead and support department heads Train, coach, and hold team accountable Build a culture of ownership and teamwork Systems & Organization Create and maintain: Prep lists Pars and forecasting Production schedules Inventory systems Ensure smooth workflow between BC1, BC2, and Rise & Vine Staffing & Coverage Manage BOH schedules across all locations Handle call-outs Adjust production and priorities as needed This role solves problems — not escalates them to ownership Wholesale & Café Execution Ensure all wholesale orders are fulfilled accurately and consistently Support food production and execution for Rise & Vine Maintain product integrity at higher production volume Food Safety & Cleanliness Enforce all food safety and sanitation standards Ensure compliance across bakery and café operations What Success Looks Like Production runs smoothly across bakery and café without owner involvement Clear systems reduce daily chaos Team understands roles and executes consistently High-quality product across all locations Minimal last-minute issues or emergencies Qualifications 5+ years in a professional kitchen or bakery Leadership experience (Sous Chef or higher preferred) Strong organizational and systems mindset Experience with high-volume production Ability to manage multiple locations or concepts Calm, solutions-oriented leadership style Our Values Family
