Executive Director of Henry County Senior Citizens Center Mission of Henry County Senior Citizens Center:

The mission of Henry County Senior Center is to ensure, coordinate and offer accessible services for seniors in Henry County IL that are 60 plus years. Our mission is to help seniors live independent meaningful and dignified lives as long as possible.

Job Description:

The Executive Director has overall responsibility for the overseeing of the Home Delivered Meals Program and the congregate meals provided at the Henry County Senior Citizens Center. The Executive Director has the responsibility for managing the center's staff and S alary : $47,000-$50,000

Additional Benefits :

Paid time off and year-end annual bonus Weekly hours : Approximately 35 hrs./week, M-F 8 am-2 pm, with exception of Tues. 8 am-6 pm

Duties:

Oversees Meal Programs:

• Supervise kitchen, delivery, and office staff.
• Oversee daily lunch and Tuesday evening dinner preparation and delivery/serving.
• Prepare meal preparation plans and coordinate Nutritionist's approval.
• Coordinate the procurement of food, kitchen supplies, kitchen and delivery equipment, delivery vehicles, and any needed repair for delivery fleet and kitchen equipment.
• Ensures adequate staff levels.

Financial and Accounting Responsibilities:

• Management of payroll and expense accounts.
• Preparation and submission of monthly Federal and State Grant financial required reports.
• Preparation and submission of budget plans and financial status reports at bi-monthly Board Meetings.
• Preparation of monthly Home Delivered Meal donation sheets for clients.
• Ensure prompt deposit of money receipts. Other Responsibilities
• Ensure meal participant client' home assessments are completed per West Illinois Area Agency on Aging (WIAAA) requirements.
• Ensure on-time future grant submissions.
• Lead fund-raising plans and events.
• Communicate with media and clients as needed to promote the center and its' services.

Required Skill/Experience :

• Proficient using Microsoft software programs such as Word and Excel.
• Financial planning and budget management experience.
• Operation and/or project management experience.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
