DIRECTOR OF THE LCC FOUNDATION AND INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT REPORTS TO

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, dedicated individual who will lead and implement LCC's strategic plan.
POSITION SUMMARY
Lamar Community College seeks a strategic, collaborative, and community-centered leader to serve as the Executive Director of Advancement and Grants. Reporting directly to the President and serving as the primary staff liaison to the Foundation Board, this position provides leadership for institutional advancement, fundraising, donor engagement, grant development, and Foundation operations. The Executive Director will play a key role in advancing the College's mission through philanthropic growth, strategic partnerships, external funding development, and community engagement. This position works closely with the President, Foundation Board, faculty, staff, donors, and regional partners to strengthen institutional sustainability and expand opportunities for students and the communities LCC serves. This position requires in-person work and all applicants outside of Lamar, Colorado must be willing to relocate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership for Foundation, advancement, fundraising, and grant operations in alignment with the College's mission and strategic priorities. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that supports annual giving, major gifts, campaigns, alumni engagement, and donor stewardship. Serve on the President's Council and support institutional planning, sustainability, and community engagement initiatives. Lead fundraising efforts including annual giving, major gifts, donor relations, alumni engagement, campaigns, grant securement efforts, and stewardship activities. Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, corporations, foundations, alumni, community organizations, and regional partners. Partner with the President and Foundation Board to secure philanthropic investments and strengthen Foundation growth and impact. Identify and research grant funding opportunities. Assist in the development of proposals, oversee compliance requirements, and support grant-funded projects throughout the full grant lifecycle Ensure effective donor communications, stewardship, and relationship management practices. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to advance competitive funding opportunities and sustainability. Oversee Foundation operations, budgeting, financial stewardship, records management, and regulatory compliance. Serve as the primary liaison to the Foundation Board, supporting governance, board engagement, communication, recruitment, and development. Promote the College and Foundation throughout the region and develop partnerships that support student success, workforce development, and institutional advancement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Significant experience in fundraising, advancement, grants management, nonprofit leadership, higher education administration, or related fields. Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, grant writing, partnership development, or strategic planning. Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including boards, donors, faculty, staff, and community partners. Experience managing budgets, projects, and multiple priorities effectively.
Salary Range:
