Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the classroom by providing specialized support to students with diverse needs. This contract opportunity focuses on three distinct special education needs, offering you the chance to apply your skills in various educational settings and make a lasting impact in students' lives.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification required Prior classroom experience working with students with diverse learning or developmental exceptionalities Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, support staff, and families Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with instructional adaptations and progress monitoring Flexibility to work with students across different grade levels and needs
Responsibilities:
Design, adapt, and deliver specialized lesson plans tailored to address three unique special education needs within the school environment Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students Partner with classroom teachers to create inclusive, accessible learning experiences Provide direct instruction and targeted interventions, adjusting strategies as needed for student growth Advocate for student needs in meetings with multidisciplinary teams and families Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with district and state special education guidelines Participate in ongoing professional development to refine and advance teaching practices This contract role offers an inspiring environment where your expertise will be highly valued.
