Job Description

Executive Director (Part-Time) - ( RTP20260519-016 ) Description Direct the compilation and analysis of data and the computation and reporting of statistics for the district's planning and accountability needs with special emphasis on value added measures used to assess teacher effectiveness. Play a major role in production of achievement data utilized in the district's Teacher Excellence Initiative. Oversee all aspects of the local, State and Federal accountability systems affecting the District. Oversee design and implementation decisions, and the design and dissemination of reporting products, related to the District's value-added modeling and other statistical research projects. Manage the definition and interpretation of rules; collection and storage of data; construction of statistics; determination of scores and ratings; and design and distribution of reporting tools for the District's teacher and principal evaluation systems and local accountability systems. Coordinate design and production of annual school-based summary reports such as Campus Data Packets, STAAR Summary Reports, College Readiness Exam Reports, School Profiles. Oversee design and maintenance decisions regarding Evaluation and Assessment's internet website, MyData Portal, to ensure information is timely, accurate and relevant to schools and District initiatives. Oversee the interpretation of rules, collection and storage of data; construction of statistics; and design and distribution of reporting tools for District stakeholders' decision-making regarding the outcomes from state and federal accountability systems. Manage the department's budget and ensure that funds are spent judiciously and in compliance with District policies. Supervise Office of Institutional Research staff: Coordinate work, manage deadlines, enforce quality assurance practices, interview and hire, train new or novice staff provide professional development, conduct disciplinary action, address and resolve employee grievances, and complete the district-required annual evaluation cycle. Communicate and interact wit other District administrators, including but not limited to Assistant Superintendents, Chiefs, Executive Directors, and Directors to ensure that data products provided or created by OIR are relevant, accurate, professional and timely. Serve on committees and in working groups to provide technical assistance regarding the appropriate use of data in creating statistics or making decisions, use of statistical techniques, or planning for timelines. Manage Office of Institutional Research projects: Estimate work effort, identify task dependencies, create schedules, develop objectives, outline testing protocols and quality assurance practices, identify development risks, create mitigation plans for risks and compose accurate and clear reports and presentations. Qualifications Required Master's degree from an accredited University in Research/Evaluation, Measurement, Mathematics or Statistics. Preferred Ph.D from an accredited university. Preferred 36 graduate hours of B or better in research design, statistics, evaluation methodology, measurement theory, planning or computer programming Required 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of directly in statistics or related field Work independently and efficiently and to adapt when deadlines and priorities change. Communicate in all formats wit and for all tips of audiences. Write reports requiring technical precision, accuracy, readability, and editorial correctness Create strategic operational plans to implement simultaneous projects and to plan, prioritize and track numerous tasks for multiple employees Manipulate data within databases such as MS Access or Oracle.
