Executive Director, Special Education, Student Support Services

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, Student Support Services, the Executive Director, Special Education provides strategic and operational leadership for the district's specialized programs and itinerant services. This role is responsible for the direct supervision and guidance of Principals and Directors, ensuring that center-based schools and support services are implemented with high fidelity, consistency, and instructional excellence. The Executive Director serves as the primary liaison between executive-level strategy and building-level operations, focusing on system-wide coordination, resource optimization, and the continuous improvement of student outcomes. By overseeing the daily administrative and personnel functions of the department, the Executive Director ensures that all programs align with district goals and comply with state and federal mandates while fostering a culture of support and accountability. Translates district vision and goals into coherent, high-quality special education systems and practices. Supervises and supports Directors of Special Education, Principals and other assigned leaders. Ensures consistent implementation of special education processes, procedures, and service delivery models across buildings.
