Job Description:
Position Overview An iconic, high-volume coastal seafood and upscale dining destination in Laguna Beach is seeking an experienced Executive General Manager or Senior General Manager to lead operations. This is a flagship-level role overseeing a $16M+ operation , requiring a polished, highly visible leader who thrives in high-touch, guest-focused environments. The ideal candidate brings strong tenure as a General Manager in upscale or high-volume full-service restaurants and has a proven ability to lead large teams while maintaining exceptional service standards. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations across front and back of house Maintain exceptional service standards in a high-volume, high-expectation environment Lead from the floor with a strong, visible presence Financial Performance Own full P&L responsibility for a $16M-$17M operation Drive profitability through labor management, cost controls, and revenue strategies Monitor KPIs and implement performance-driven initiatives Team Leadership & Development Lead, develop, and inspire a large management and hourly team Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality excellence Ensure proper staffing, training, and succession planning Guest Experience Deliver a refined, high-touch guest experience aligned with an upscale coastal concept Build relationships with regulars and VIP guests Handle guest feedback with professionalism and urgency Qualifications Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior General Manager in high-volume, full-service restaurants Background in upscale, fine dining, or polished casual concepts preferred Experience managing $10M+ revenue restaurants (multi-million-dollar volume required) Strong financial acumen with full P&L ownership Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence What We're Looking For A polished, hospitality-driven leader with strong executive presence A hands-on operator who thrives in high-volume environments A team builder who develops strong managers and drives accountability A local candidate familiar with the South Orange County market
