Job Description

Job Overview A private family in New Canaan, Connecticut is seeking a seasoned, highly dependable Full-Time Housekeeper, Cook, & Personal Assistant to take ownership of the day-to-day upkeep, organization, and overall management of their home. This role calls for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who takes genuine pride in their work and can seamlessly balance expert housekeeping with thoughtful, personalized support. Schedule & Work Structure:
Schedule is Thursday through Monday; Approximately 40-45 hours per week (Days off are Tuesday & Wednesday) Expected to remain through dinner service (dinner time usually 6pm or 6:30pm) and complete kitchen cleanup afterward. Schedules will vary on a weekly basis to accommodate family needs. Primary Responsibilities Lead all housekeeping tasks to ensure residential cleaning standards are consistently met, including laundry and special cleaning projects. Coordinate daily cleaning schedules, deep cleaning tasks, and maintenance of all living spaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization with the home owners. Manage household inventory, including cleaning supplies, linens, and pantry items, ensuring timely replenishment. Plan and execute event setups, including catering arrangements, decorations, and logistical support for private gatherings or celebrations Provide childcare support as needed , including supervising children's activities and assisting with their daily routines Assist with personal errands and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing household calendars, and coordinating service providers Oversee laundry operations for clothing, linens, and delicate items with attention to quality and efficiency Prepare meals: Cook dinner for the family and other meals and beverages as requested by the family. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a secure environment within the residence Offer hospitality support by greeting guests warmly, managing household communications, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Experience Proven experience in executive housekeeping or hospitality management within luxury residences or hotels; 5 years minimum. Experience in childcare or providing personal assistance in a residential setting Skilled in residential cleaning techniques, laundry management, and basic cooking skills Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills Strong time management abilities to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently Familiarity with property management systems or administrative tools is a plus Previous hotel experience or working within the hospitality industry is highly desirable Join us if you're ready to bring your energy and expertise into a role that combines meticulous housekeeping management with personalized household support.
