We are growing and are seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) who is passionate about working with children and wants to be part of a supportive, upbeat, and purpose-driven team. At this time, this position is for Fridays only , with the opportunity to grow as our practice continues to expand. We would love to find someone with an active Indiana EFDA license , but it is not required. We are happy to work with the right candidate who is motivated, caring, and eager to grow with our team. You will perform advanced delegated clinical procedures that support patient care, improve office efficiency, and contribute to a smooth and enjoyable patient experience. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, dependable, and passionate about working with children and families. Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service to patients and families Create a welcoming, calm, and positive experience for pediatric patients Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures Perform expanded functions and delegated clinical duties permitted under state regulations Place and finish restorations Apply sealants and fluoride treatments Take radiographs, impressions, and digital scans as needed Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures Communicate effectively with patients, parents, doctors, and team members Support teammates and assist in other areas of the office when needed Maintain a professional, compassionate, and team-focused attitude throughout the workday What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Friendly and outgoing Gentle with clinical care and patient interactions Organized and dependable A strong team player Honest and trustworthy Compassionate and patient-focused An excellent communicator with both staff and patients Dedicated to providing exceptional care and customer service Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric environment Why You'll Love Working Here Be part of a close-knit, family-oriented team Work with a doctor who values and supports her team Make a real impact in the lives of children and families Enjoy a positive, upbeat workplace culture Opportunities for growth, learning, and long-term career development
