Job Description

Growing Baton Rouge firm seeks an Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in family law, successions/probate, estate planning, and business law , including litigation . You'll manage a diverse caseload, draft high-quality pleadings, handle hearings and trials, conduct legal research, and work directly with clients. We value outgoing personalities, strong writing, courtroom confidence, and proactive communication.
What You'll Do Family Law:
Handle divorce, custody, support, community property, protective orders; draft pleadings/agreements; appear for hearings, mediations, and trials.
Successions/Probate & Estate Planning:
Draft succession pleadings and administration filings; prepare wills, POAs, living wills, trusts; counsel clients on Louisiana procedures and planning strategies.
Business Law:
Form entities; draft/review operating and buy-sell agreements, contracts, and leases; advise on compliance and handle related litigation (e.g., contract disputes, collections). Litigation (family, successions, business): Draft petitions/motions/memos/discovery; conduct legal research; manage cases from intake to resolution; negotiate settlements, conduct trials.
Case Management:
Maintain organized files, meet deadlines and productivity goals, and communicate clearly with clients and courts. (Clio experience, Microsoft 365 applications, Fastcase, LEXIS, AI software, advanced technological skills preferred, including typing.)
