Job Description

Hello! Martin Bros. Contracting is a family-owned and operated General Contractor that's been proudly serving the community since 1983. With over four decades of experience and continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Lead Concrete Foreman to join our team and help drive high-quality concrete work across our commercial project portfolio. In this role, you'll lead field execution from layout through pour and finish. You'll plan daily work, coordinate crews and equipment, ensure forms and rebar are installed to plan & spec to keep production moving safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Lead and supervise concrete crews on active job sites while actively participating in field operations (formwork, rebar, placement, finishing) Set the pace and standard by performing key tasks alongside the crew while directing production and maintaining quality Plan and assign daily work activities; coordinate manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needs in real time Lay out, build, and oversee installation and dismantling of concrete form systems (gang forms, flying forms, slip forms, etc.) Direct and assist with rebar layout, cutting, bending, and tying per structural drawings and rebar schedules Ensure reinforcement is installed correctly for cover, spacing, supports, embeds, sleeves, anchor hardware, and penetrations Coordinate pre-pour readiness: dimensions, line and grade, bracing, access, inspections, checklists, and safety controls Work hands-on with pump trucks, ready-mix suppliers, and placement crews during pours to maintain formwork integrity and concrete quality Oversee and support concrete placement and finishing operations (screeding, floating, troweling, edging, curing methods) Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and placement plans; translate requirements into clear direction for the crew on site Maintain production targets while enforcing safety standards, quality expectations, and housekeeping Train and mentor crew members by demonstrating proper techniques and correcting issues as they happen Maintain and care for forming systems, rebar tools, and related equipment; track needs and prevent downtime Coordinate with the Superintendent/PM on schedule, sequencing, RFIs/field issues, and material lead times Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of concrete experience with proven foreman/lead experience managing crews Strong hands-on knowledge of concrete form systems and reinforcing steel installation Ability to read and execute structural drawings , rebar schedules, and concrete specs Understanding of concrete placement practices, formwork requirements, and finishing standards Familiarity with forming materials (steel, aluminum, wood, composite systems) and job-built/custom formwork Solid understanding of reinforcement standards and basic code/inspection expectations Strong communication and coordination skills with crews, subs, inspectors, and suppliers Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Foreman-level tool set (including concrete and rebar tools) OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain) Compensation & Benefits $42.00 to $52.00+ per hour base rate (commensurate with experience and leadership level) Prevailing Wage Rates for DCAM work (varies from $50-$70/hr ) 401(k) with matching Health coverage Tool allowance for foreman-level concrete equipment About Us Martin Bros.
