Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Detail Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the vehicle detailing department. This role is responsible for ensuring vehicles meet dealership quality standards while leading a team that operates efficiently, safely, and professionally. The Detail Manager works closely with Sales, Service, and Recon leadership to support vehicle readiness and overall dealership operations. Responsibilities Oversee daily detailing operations to ensure all vehicles are cleaned, polished, buffed, and presented according to dealership standards Supervise, train, and coach detailing staff on proper procedures, including car wash operations, buffing, window tinting, and custodial duties Maintain a clean, organized, and professional detailing facility at all times Perform and enforce quality control standards to ensure customer and dealership expectations are consistently met Manage inventory of detailing supplies, chemicals, and equipment to ensure operational efficiency Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, OSHA guidelines, and safety regulations Address customer concerns professionally and assist in resolving detailing-related issues Communicate and coordinate with vendors regarding supplies, equipment, and service needs Create and manage employee schedules to ensure proper staffing and productivity Collaborate closely with Sales Managers, Service Managers, and the Recon Manager to support vehicle flow and readiness Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in automotive detailing and reconditioning Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills Knowledge of car wash systems and custodial or janitorial best practices Ability to train, manage, and hold employees accountable Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to safely operate detailing and cleaning equipment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Prior supervisory experience preferred Why Join Our Dealership This position offers the opportunity to lead a critical department within the dealership while working alongside a professional management team focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
